Mobutu Sese Seko Kuku Ngbendu wa Za Banga (born Joseph-Desiré Mobutu; 14 October 1917 – 7 September 1997) (/məˈbuːtuːˈsɛseɪˈsɛkoʊ/(listen)) was the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
