Passionate barely begins to describe Dr. Paul Salvini.

Last Thursday, Salvini was named CEO of the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo. He will also serve as the new Associate Vice-President, Research Commercialization at the University of Waterloo.

For Salvini, it’s a career move that’s been decades in the making, but it wasn’t until the last six years that the stars aligned for him to return to his first love – Waterloo Region.

Prior to last week’s appointment, he drove innovation at Kitchener-based Christie Digital Systems, as its chief technology officer.
